I was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, in the beautiful Rhine Valley. My first degree was in Chemistry at the Hochschule Fresenius, during which I spent three semesters abroad, first in Strasbourg/France, then in Long Beach/California and finally in Oxford/UK. Oxford was so nice that I stayed on for a 4-year DPhil in Structural Biology, followed by three years of post-doctoral research and a Junior Research Fellowship at Somerville College. In 2010, I embarked on an adventure to study Graduate Medicine at the University of Cambridge/UK. I subsequently completed the academic foundation programme in Cambridge and have been an academic clinical fellow in Primary Care since 2018.
