HISTOLOGY

Histology is a fascinating subject, especially for a structural biologist. It’s the link between the world of biomolecular structure and the anatomy of the body. In Medicine, the subject is incredibly important and comes up everywhere, in pre-clinical physiology, pathology, and later in clinical pathology.

1. 1st-Year: Histology of Healthy Tissues

When I started studying this subject, I was looking for a simple but structured overview describing the appearance of the different tissue categories and types. I looked through a range of text books but could not find it anywhere, so I made it myself. Looking at pictures of histology slides in combination with this presentation should help you to easily identify the most common tissues in the body.

2. 2nd-Year: Histopathology

Coming eventually… E-mail me if you need it earlier than that.
