Year 3

YEAR 3 of clinical studies (STAGE 3 in Cambridge)

The final year on the graduate course consists of an 8-week placement in medicine and surgery, followed by 6 weeks of psychiatry, three weeks of GP and one week of dermatology, ENT and ophthalmology each. After this you enter the final run towards finals  with three six week placements in medicine, surgery and anaesthetics.

The medical school is currently reorganising the syllabus to allow for finals to take place earlier to be able to incorporate an apprenticeship that allows more focused preparation for practice. Due to these upcoming changes, I won’t elaborate any further on how the final year is structured.

Similar to the Stage 2 section, the pages under year three contain placement information and actual content to help finals revision.
