This subject deals with two pathological disease states relating to the immune system: autoimmune diseases and immunodeficiency. The former topic has some of overlap with histopathology, so you can save some time here. The latter topic deals with general information about what happens if you lose a particular part of your immune system, and then discusses 1* vs. 2* (acquired) immunodeficiency. The lectures on this topic were quite useful during the R&I week, even though surprisingly little came up in the actual exam. Even though not mentioned separately in the syllabus, I’ve added an extra chapter discussing “Investigations in Clinical Immunology” (Chapter 15, the final one).
For my clinical immunology notes, here.
